Our multidisciplinary approach enables us to operate a local genotype seed and plant nursery, providing custom seed mixes and plant materials based on extensive research and field experience, while also constructing and managing a wide variety of project types.

Responsibilities:

  • Greenhouse Management:

    • Maintain inventory of plants and seeds.

    • Manage plant orders for clients and internal projects.

    • Coordinate Coir Log production.

    • Implement fertility management practices.

    • Oversee irrigation systems.

    • Manage disease, insect, and weed control.

    • Supervise seed pretreatment and germination processes.

    • Procure necessary materials for greenhouse operations.

  • Seed Nursery Management:

    • Maintain inventory of seeds.

    • Conduct seed testing and quality control.

    • Process seed orders.

    • Manage seed cleaning operations.

    • Implement disease and insect management strategies.

    • Oversee nursery property management.

    • Coordinate onsite and offsite seed collection efforts.

 

Experience, Education, Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience or strong interest in native plant production.

  • Degree in Horticulture or related field preferred.

  • Certified Pesticide Applicator or willingness to obtain certification.

  • Interest in or certification for DOT compliance.

  • General knowledge of outdoor power equipment preferred.

  • Ability to lift moderately to heavily.

  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
